I just cut off the old ones and put on new ones. They can be purchased from many part suppliers. I got mine from Ausley's.

would  like  to  re-chrome  vent  knobs,  tried  to  remove  no  luck,  a  friend  said  i  might  have  to  remove  kick  panel  and  unhook  the  rod  that  they  are   attached  to, does  anyone  know  if  this  is  true?
