Hey John,
Soon after I bought my 69 SS396, I had the symptoms you describe & it
*was* my speedo cable connection dripping. I had a speedo cable
hooked
up, but was getting some drips out of it when I parked the car & let
it
sit a week (in fact, the amount that leaked seemed variable each time
I'd
drive it, so we figured that an o-ring had a nick or worn spot on it
&
depending on what the orientation of the o-ring was each time I
parked
the car, that dictated how much liquid would leak).
We unscrewed the connector, my dad put just a SMALL drop of loctite
on
the thread, we connected it again and the problem has been gone now
for 5
years.
Maybe your problem is that small too,
