Dudes and Dudettes,
Are any of you running serpentine belt systems on your Big Blocks?  I have decided to go with a factory GM system.....to a point. I had an alternator with a serpentine pulley, so I went to the local dealer and bought pulleys for the crank and power steering unit. Also bought the bracket that holds the power steering pump (I am using a more modern version of the pump due to putting on an 88 Monte Carlo SS fast ratio steering box) and it holds the alternator right above it. While it's not pretty, it works great!

I HATE the fact that you have to turn your water pump backwards though with most serpentine systems. I think I have figured out a way to re-rout the belt to the right over the water pump pulley, then double back to the left to go to the A/C compressor using a smooth guide wheel. Just have to find a grooved water pump pulley now. Preferably steel.

Anyone done anything unusual like this on your ride?
