Funny bit! Think I'll take a cat with me and run a "cat scan" on any car
that has set for a while before I buy it!

Yes it seems a Mouse loves to stake out an idle car for there residence...
I bought a 55 Chevy and flat towed it home, the old chain and
pipe method... a buddy was driving my 62 Chevy truck ,,, we had a set of
signs to signal stop ect... well about half way home the headliner that was
hanging down with big holes to my right cam alive with this mouse.. jumping
on to the seat and across my lap and on to the floor.. I was trying to
kick it out of the gaping shifter hold when some more of the family
attempted the great escape...
My Buddy seeing my frantic actions and none of them the agreed panic stop
motion.. ASSUMED I was screwing around so not to be out done he did to , by
weaving the truck back and forth causing me to steer with his movement to
prevent not breaking the chain... Now the three mice that I saw and
believe me it seemed like there were a thousand took advantage of my
situation , and began looking for a escape route in Ernest... very time one
ran across the floor by my feet , I kicked at it,, missing every time...
The smell of rodent droppings were blowing around the dust as we speed
along. with me kicking at the mice , yelling at my buddy and these rodents
and steering to his erratic side to side maneuvers...
At the stop sign he opened the truck door and glanced back at me smiling
from ear to ear... at that time he realized I was not screwing around and
needed to get out of this car NOW..
there were no inner door handles or window crank handles he had to of come
back and do the poke the lever in the hole to get the door open... But there
was a problem. I WAS in a melt down and he was afraid to open the door.. The
more I yelled at him the farther he backed away from the car.. I hade to
promise I would not hit him.. or cause him any harm B-4 he would opened the
door.. the only saving grace was I was able to swat one of the mice as he
or she ran across the seat ,, and while it lay startled in the crevice of
the seat . dealt it a fatal smack......I was going to shove it down Charlie
( my buddies ) pants when he would open the door ... but a promise is a
promise and I had to ignore that urge....

Once stopped I ripped out the headliner from a open door and we made to
mice leave the open door with sweeping motions of a battery cable pushed
under the seat......
and YES Charlie sat in the car as I drove the truck home the finial
distance....
