John, I too have a 71 SS 454 car and used the Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rockers (part #1320-16?).  I used the stock chromed valve covers you can get about any where.  I did have to trim a couple of the oil drippers on the inside of the covers and I used (stacked) two of the stock looking silver gaskets for rocker clearance.  The valve covers cleared the power booster just fine and with a casual glance it looks stock.  Just another idea.
