the downshift point depends on your rear end gear ration also. What are you taching in 3rd when doing 65?? It is not necessarily supposed to downshift whenever or everytime you floor it to kick into passing gear. But if it that big of a concern, drop it down into 2nd gear manually and then upshift. Just be careful at what RPM you are shifting it at or else you might blow up the motor.
