Replacements from the dealer were all silver. I had a 65 SS in 1965 and replaced a few grills. I had to paint the bars black. The indented headlight pieces were black and the the edges or border lines were silver. If I'm wrong, somebody help me out. I'm not a purist today with my 65 and I'm going from 39 year old memory.
