Chevy didn't start using 3-character suffixes until 1970 and 3970010 was a very common 350 casting, so my guess is that it's a 1970 or newer truck 350. I believe C80149401 is a partial VIN for the original vehicle and either the 8 or the 0 indicates model year (again, I can't remember). Others have provided some website URLs and I can look this up in my MSA-1 books when I get home today.
