These scale engines and cars are just incredible. Unfortunately they are way out of the ballpark on price. I emailed the guy that does the blown v-8 and he said a complete engine is $15-18 thousand dollars!!!! He said I could buy a "casting set" for about $1000. I'm assuming the casting set is a bare unmachined block and heads. Could you imagine the look on the machinist's face when you asked him to finish hone the cylinders for moly rings and to do a three angle valve job on the heads? That would be priceless!
And that Ferrari! Holy cow! That was the coolest model I've ever seen. The things people can create! I've also seen him on some home pages, obviously he's a bit of a legend in the scale model world (http://www.fine-art-models.com/e/gallery/scerri/) click his image for additional pic's! EVERYTHING is supposed to be working even the gauges!!!
