Graham,

I cant remember which position that is but it is the reverse lever.
If you bolt the shifter to the trans and push it into reverse you will
see which way the lever on the shifter moves and voila (as the
frogeaters say) the trans lever will have to move the same way.

I think I got this right.

Hi Folks,

I am about to hook up my Hurst shifter to my M20, but cannot
remember(nor find 
documentation) on when the tranny is in Neutral.  I need to know the
lever's 
positions.  I think the main 2 are up straight and in middle position.
But 
what about the third one, the one towards the tail?  That one is either
forward 
or backwards. Can someone confirm the three lever's positions?
