My 69 El Camino has the long pump but I'll be switching to the short one when I install the alum radiator w/dual electric fans for more clearance. I'm sure your 65 probably has tighter clearances than my 69.

Well,

It's proving harder to find a complete Big Block Short Water Pump Pulley setup with Brackets for my '65.  I can buy those aftermarket billet mounts & pulleys, but I really don't want that.  I want black metal brackets and pulleys.  So, on to my next question.  Will a long water pump setup work in my '65?  I've done some measuring with the engine out of the car and it appears that the Long water pump will be a tight fit between the flexfan, and the radiator.  Any suggestion?  It appears that the Long Water Pump is the easiest way to find these parts, but will it actually fit?  Anyone know where I can get a complete Alternator / Saginaw Power Steering / AC pulley setup for the Short Water Pump setup (don't need the A/C brackets, just the pulleys for when I add it later) for $100-$200?  Are there any clearance issues with the BBC and the Saginaw Power steering pump (built in reservoir)?  I

I appreciate any help.

Thanks
Charles
