Hey gang. Had to replace the rear main bearing cap on the old big block. That meant a trip to the machine shop for a bore alignment. Not too expensive considering the alternative.
Question is now that I have to put all the accessories back on the motor, where do I use Lock-Tite and where do I use some anti-seize compound? This always confused me. I have to re-attach just about everything. The intake, heads, timing chain cover and oil pan are already installed. I have to slap on the water pump, exhaust manifolds, carb, pulleys, brackets, alternator etc. I figured this is as good a time as any to learn how to do this the right way!
