I don't think so.  I just checked the 3 references I depend on for "general stuff".  The only thing mentioned about the cooling system is for the 396 which got an "increased capacity" cooling system.  I did learn that the 396 was created only because GM management had decreed that no "mid-size" car could have 400+ C.I., hence the "sleeved down" 396.  You might run by the NCRS board if Clint doesn't know, those guys know every last detail of every single Vette ever produced!  www.ncrs.org
