I tried to do an automatic once - I have the parts still sitting in the garage to prove it! That's ok, it was a 727 for my sis's Dart - talked her into buying a new TCI unit from Summit.
Body work is pretty much where I also draw the line. It was the whole reason I picked up my '66 the way it was. Body was pretty much done and I could just jump on the rest. I enjoy working on it. Now if you were to ask about my drivers, it depends on what needs to be done. I can't afford the downtime so sometimes it's best to take them in - not to mention the experience and tools a pro should have. I know I've spent a lot of money on my Elky over the last seven years, but if I wasn't able to do as much of the work as I did, there's no way I could have afforded to pay someone to do it for me.
