Along the same topic, I've been looking at vinyl dyes. PPG has the UCV
system that I'd like to use for kick panels and bucket seat backs and sides.
It seems more like a coating than a dye. I think that I'll buy the dye in
the bulk (pint?) quantity and shoot it with a gun. It appears that the
system is to use the cleaner (UK 403) then conditioner (UK 405) then coating
(DMVXX where XX depends on color) and finally clear coat (UCV71 or UCV69 for
non-glare dashpad). Has anyone used this system?

Thanks,

Larry

I really like PPG's basecoat/clearcoat process and they really support the
automotive hobby.
Another reason is I work for PPG Industries in the Glass division.
