Pelle,

I strip with a wire brush on a straight die grinder. You have to wear mask
and eye protection. I've had to pull a few wire bristles out of my skin.
Then I use Eastwood Oxysolv to remove rust from the pits. I then use paint
prep - degreaser/silicon remover. Finally I paint with epoxy primer like PPG
DPLF-90. Its a lot of work. I've seen guys also thin out POR-15 and shoot it
without going through the rust remover and paint prep process.

I'm going to tear out the mats & sticky sound
proofing from cars floor today & wonder how to
get rid of the rust the best/qickest way & what
to put there instead of the moist binding "tar paper"?

Best Regards
Pelle
