Pelle, I strip with a wire brush on a straight die grinder. You have to wear mask and eye protection. I've had to pull a few wire bristles out of my skin. Then I use Eastwood Oxysolv to remove rust from the pits. I then use paint prep - degreaser/silicon remover. Finally I paint with epoxy primer like PPG DPLF-90. Its a lot of work. I've seen guys also thin out POR-15 and shoot it without going through the rust remover and paint prep process.
