[Chevelle-list] Console Paint

If i were to buy a blue console for my 71 chevelle and need it to be painted black.   What paint/dye would you use to recolor the console black.   PLUS: How durable is the new black coating. I've seen others that were worrn resulting in the original color bleeding through.   Thanks, Kyle
