I worked with a guy who had a '71 with one steel and one plastic, and I've heard of other guys
who said the same thing.  Kinda strange, but maybe it was a crossover thing?  Ed

Some came with steel and some came with plastic, but I've never heard of one of each before. Either one (in pairs) is correct though.

Subject: [Chevelle-list] plastic inner fender well

We are restoring a 71 Chevelle 454 with factory air.

Trying for "factory correct" resto for the most part.  Currently, the driver's side inner fender well is plastic and the passenger's side inner fender well is steel.  Is this common and factory correct or not ? Should we restore to both steel ?

Thanks guys !

Melanie
