Heck, windshields for most of these old cars are pretty reasonable. An oem windshield for a ZR-1 retails for $3200,,if you could find one.
The windshield in my 69 El Camino is the original and it's in excellent shape. Nice to know I can find a replacement for a decent price.

Well, I called around yesterday to some local glass companies.  I was getting discouraged as most said they could not get a windshield for my '65 Hardtop.  I finally got a guy that was willing to give more effort than just saying NO.  I told him to be gentle as this was a NON insurance windshield (believe me, it makes a difference if you say this).  He quoted me $175 installed, but would take a week to get it in.  I told him the car is a couple of months from driving, so that wasn't an issue.  I just wanted to pass this on, I thought it was a good deal considering the one in my Crown Victoria was about $600, and they still MAKE this car, unlike my '65.
