>Hello all,
> I recently aquired a one / two owner 64 chevelle malibu ss. Unfortunately
>it still has the drum brakes on the front. I have been searching the web
>for reasonable cost drum -> disc conversions and have found a couple of
>sites that describe the "tall" spindle swap. Some say there are significant
>problems, some say it is not a big deal, some say that you can find a 12 "
>swap instaed of the 11 " swap while retaining the stock 5 on 4 3/4 inch bolt
>circle. Some say just go with an all new kit, some say that just find used
>parts in a junk yard. I want the swap to be easy, relatively inexpensive
>and work with the stock drum brakes in the back. I have a fair amount of
>mechanical ability and live in Northern California. All suggestions and
>advice are appreciated. Thanks.
