I think your dad had a 312 T-bird engine in his '57 as you could get them with a 2-4 set up, but I imagine one or more may have found it's way into another Ford model. 352's were next, then 390's and the famed crossbolt main 427's. I know you could get a 352 in '59 and maybe even a 390 but I don't think any 427's were around until the early '60's....
