All,

I recently upgraded replaced my alternator with a CS130 unit (105 amp), using the info from Wes Vann's page on chevelles.com (http://www.chevelles.com/techref/ftecref14.html) and everything works great.

I replaced the alternator because my old externally regulated unit went bad and blew the fusible link from the battery post <--> alternator.  Now I need to splice it back together.

My father tells me I should keep a fusible link, while I'm inclined to put an inline fuse (30amp?) in there.  Is one way better than the other?
