I'm running 275/40/17 front tires which are 25.7" tall but I don't think you
will find anyone that thinks my car sets too high. From the center of the
fender lip to the ground,it measures approximately 24".  This is with an
all-iron SBC. Your 502 would probably weigh about 100lbs more.
The shock adjustments on the QA1's are very linear. Every click makes a
difference.
An important question to consider is "how low are your headers"?
