I just got back from a two day tripe to Reno and got my first taste of Hot August
Nights. Very cool event! Tons of very nice cars, along with lots of cool
Chevelles.
A friend of mine had 3 Chevelles (a ’69 SS 396, a 70 and
71 Malibu) and
a 69 El Camino in the auction. I spent about four hours there wondering around,
but could have spent my entire time at the auction. I never did make it down to
the swap meet, which I heard was out of this world.
Went to the cruise in Sparks
on Thursday night and saw Dennis Gage, so I had him sign a couple shirts. Very
nice guy.
Two bad things – 1) two days is not long enough and 2)
it sucked not having my ride there with the rest of them! I’ll have to
work on both of those in the future.
