It is a convertible because it can still be converted into scrap metal.
Notice in the Q/A section even the top frame is gone (not just the top). It
also has A/C but needs a hose (in other words it doesn't have A/C), and the
engine is rebuilt but he doesn't know how many miles are on it (junkyard
engine). "I'm selling it for a friend" means "I accept no liability for this
piece of junk that I created" (kind of like telling your shrink "my friend
has a problem"). $7k and reserve not met tells me that he plans to remain
the proud owner until he is eventually forced to junk it. I wouldn't give
him two cents for it.
