Good point. It has quite a lot to do with the declared value of the car(s). I told them that my EC was worth $10k and the Olds (sold BTW) was worth $5k. That could easily explain the $120 for one (the EC) vs. the $150 for two in my case.

======================
I have 6 cars all insured with American Collectors ..ranging in declared value from 10K to 45K
and in price from 125 per year to 300 per year EACH...   All are stock except for my 68 Chevelle
which is "modified" and thus surcharged  (168 per year premium)...

I have one claim experience with them and that claim was handled quickly and problem free and my rates have not gone up a nickle as a result...    Rates honestly have been very stable over the last 15 years ..Can't remember any rate increases over the years BUT I am sure there have been some...

The key question I asked every Insurance Company  is what kind of driving is covered and what is not...
I like to take my cars out for a 20-40 mile drive around the local "twisties" just for the hell of it and I never recalled any "show" being held on a Tuesday evening just past the sharp turn after I pass the red barn where the road straightens up for close to a mile...   Some companies call that pleasure driving (I agree) and is NOT Covered...   BULL !
