[Chevelle-list] SS dash help

I bought an SS dash to replace mine that has cracked just above the 
steering column.  Well, what a piece of junk.  The chrome was just 
spray painted with silver paint and there is overspray, etc.  The 
lettering for the lighter and wipers is not raised very high and it's 
not silver either.

Are all the repro SS dashes like this or are there better ones out 
there.

Are there services that could repair my current dash so I can keep it 
original?
