I found out what my problem was. Noobishness. I didn't see the little
fusable link going from the battery to the junction block. After studying
my wiring diagram for a few minutes I pulled a homer. That would, of
course, explain why I couldn't get any power inside of the car...

Thanks for all the info!

My problem is more that I don't have any power sources. I don't want the
damn lead there! ;) I am going down to the local muscle car shop to pick up
a block and a new battery tray. Does anyone know the exact mount location?
I don't see an obviously place so I am wondering if I have to drill it.

The Junction Block is used as a power tap source. Instead of trying to wire
5 things to the positive post on the battery, a large gauge wire (8 or 10)
is run from the battery to a single-post (in most cases) "junction block".
Anything that needs a direct hot lead is then run from this block. As long
as you don't get carried away and overload the circuit with accessories...

If you find you need more power sources, try a CirKit Boss kit from Painless
Wiring instead of trying to plug everything into the fuse box. One ignition
lead and one hot lead with a circuit breaker gets you 4 ignition hot
accessory leads and 3 always hot accessory leads and all are powered by a
relay.
