Darn. I have a short in the El Camino. I just went to run it for the first time since Friday and the battery was dead. I jumped it and let the battery charge a while, then shut it down. Disconnected the positive side and took a test light to the main cable and then the red wire coming off the harness, and voila the light lit up on the red wire. So, now I have to start pulling fuses to find out which circuit the short is on and go from there.
In the meantime some guy walking by offered me $10k for it. Tempting. Of course it's only talk unless he shows up with the cash. John Nasta
