I know I probably won't get credit for the POR Patch, and Papertowel method, but I've used it regularly and have pictures to prove it! LOL
Anyway, I've used different brands. Something tough like brawny works great. The next time I did it, I was going to try those blue ones from the auto parts store. One tube goes a LONG way. You will only use about a toothpaste amount per 1" x 3" strip at most. I have not went through one tube yet, and I've done a bunch of patches.
