If you want the best tire wear possible lean as close to the low end as possible.  A lot of those numbers (back then) take into consideration a crowned road and drivability with manual steering.  In spec and even tire wear are 2 different things.  In the late 70's early 80's the right front tire on the outside was always wearing first.  I used to help out doing alignments and many came in with that problem and were "in spec".  We made them so they wouldn't wear the tires.  Some (not many) made the complaint that the steering wasn't as easy after the alignment.  It is a balancing act to get everything right and to go down the road without pulling to either side based on what road you may be traveling.  My $.02

Can't disagree, I'm not alignment enlightened.  It's true the specs are for bias ply tires and modern radials would probably make a different setting necessary but at least it gives you a place to start.  I'm not even sure the tires were true 4-ply back then...seems most were 2-ply with 4-ply ratings :*)

Running radial tires affects the specs to some degree.  You should keep the camber specs closer to 0 and should never be as high as the 3/4 pos listed below.  The toe in should probably be 1/16 not as high as 3/16 listed.  1965 was 4-ply tires era.

Would running 15" wheels affect these any of these specs?
