Steve, I have hauled a lot on these trailers, including my Chevelle. One 
word of warning, though, I went from KY where I live, to ME to get my 
Chevelle. In KY, you do not need a license or registration on a trailer 
without a commercial name on it. In CT, you do. It cost me $150 to the state 
police because I had no proof of ownership (reg.) for the trailer. The 
trooper stopped me because he could not see a license on the trailer, no 
speeding or anything. Any way, he said if I had at least a written paper 
saying the trailer was mine, he would not have written the ticket.
 Also, from using this type of trailer at work, I have learned you must be 
carefull to put more load over/in front of the axles. If not, it will tend 
to lift the rear of your truck at higher speeds, creating an obviously 
dangerous situation.

Guys,
       Ever use a car hauler (open) for moving things? I have a new job
in another state and need to move myself as they aren't paying for the
move.
Being the cheap SOB that I am, I was wondering if I bought a car hauler
trailer, if I could use it to move boxes, appliances, and furniture?
Anyone put side rails on theirs?
