You might check with the guys at Vintage Air in San Antonio.  Lot of serious cars around there and I am sure they will know a good team of wrench and stitch people.   There are also some good shops in Austin.  Jimmie Vaughn ( Stevie Ray's brother)  has had some very nice customs made in that area. 
 
 
My 68 that I picked up after I lost my 55 in a divorce this year got its new 468 Gen VI put in and is finally on the road - it really hates speed limits but we are trying to cope .   The motor was built as a blower motor for a drag boat but the owner died and the motor sat unfinished. Never fired.  We pulled the blower, reworked the seriously ported heads for a little higher compression, recammed it with a Comp riller  and here we go.  Tightened up a 4L60 ( yeah, we're waiting to see how long that will last). 
 
Now for re-paint, little time in the seat and then maybe look for a trade ( sorry but my heart's still with the Tri-Fives or 59-62 Impala. )   
 
 Saw a '70 S/S with 17" wheels this weekend at the KKOA meeting in Denison Texas - love those lead sleds.  15's look very cool but for the time being and for the retro look I think I'll stay with the new 15"  Crager SS's that were on it when I got it earlier this year.
