Are you talking about a true ding strip that is made of rubber
and stands out? I know that in '69 there was a striping option that looks like
a ding strip.

Yes, it is a chrome and rubber, and stands
out. I'm not speaking of a stripe. The car is 100%
original from the dealer. I know this because my great aunt
bought the car new in Scottsdale, Arizona in 1969.
From what I'm reading from the list, this must have been added by the dealer
in Scottsdale. The rubber has faded and cracked a bit so since it
is not a vital piece, I'll just remove it and be done. Too bad that
I've now got holes running down the side of my car
