One last comment re mag subscriptions. I subscribe directly from the mags and
usually take advantage of their long term deals which are cheaper than one year
at a time. Check out the subscription cards in the mags. You know, the ones
that fall out when your reading. These are direct.

Be careful when these subscription cos call & pretend to be the mag co. They
usually ask if service is OK and are you enjoying the mag & want to offer you a
deal to renew & extend, etc. The mag cos obviously sell their mailing lists &
these other cos have no idea who they're talking to nor the length of your sub.
Just that you're a subscriber and potential meat! They call me all the time
with offers much more expensive than the mag co because they have to get their
profits & commissions also. Even my long term subs get me calls. On a good
day I tell them no thanks. On a bad day I give them a hard time because I know
what's going on. The No Call Law has helped. Know the terms of your
subscriptions. Look at your mailing labels for the dates and know what you
pay. Be aware that these cos are on the prowl & think they can get over on us
because we're "Gearheads". I don't know about you guys but I'd rather put my
$$ into my car than get ripped off by magazine telemarketers!! Enough Said.
