Thanks Rick, I guess I'll have to open up the column to get at the hazard switch connection. The hazard switch itself is busted off, so maybe I'll even get to replace it. For now I am going to try to run a lead directly from the "cold" side of the brake light fuse to the brake light switch. Hopefully that will make it legal until I have more time to take things apart.

It goes from the brake light switch back to a common terminal on the Hazard Warning Light Flasher and then back to the fuse box. Should be easy to trace.
