I have used GUNK "carburetor and parts cleaner" is the past when
rebuilding carb's - soaking them for 24 hrs, rinsing in hot water and
blowing them dry with the air gun. Since I am in the market to buy new
cleaner is there any other recommendations for deep cleaning carb's?
I have soaked my motorcycle carb in liqueur thinner before and it cleaned
it beautifully. My concern with the Chevelle carb is that the bronze
finish on it is still in very decent shape and don't want to have it get
eaten by what ever cleaner I soak it in. Which leads me to the next
question - has any one used the bronze carb spray that Eastwood sells with
good results or is this just cheesy to do?
I have a ultrasonic washer here at work that we clean electric motors in -
any reason this would or wouldn't work on cleaning a carb?
Thank you for you help.
