JC, I have had many 454's with around 700 to 750 horse and only 2 bolt mains. I think if you keep the rpm's down below 6500 and have a good bottom end (crank, rods, and pistons) you won't have any reason to worry about a 2 bolt main block.....

I've been searching e-bay motors for a 454ci bbc for my 72 Chevelle. I've seen a couple but they have 2 bolt mains. when its all said and done I want to be pushing a little over 500 hp.(Street driven) is a 2 bolt enough to support this reliably? JC
