Subject: [Chevelle-list] Need new Carb

Hi guys: I currently have a Holley 650 DP which is probably
almost as old as my 65. Lotsa problems, won't adjust, etc.
Engine is a .40 over 327, alum heads, headers, Comp Cams 272 Xtreme,
10.3 compression, M-20 4 speed and a 3.73 12 bolt posi. A fair estimate
is about 400HP at the flywheel. The car is mostly show and alway street
driven during the season May to November. I do like to take it to the
dragstrip a few times or more each summer. What Carb to buy? A new
Holley, a Demon, Holley Avenger? The BG people say go with a Mighty
Demon 650. I was thinking a 750. The old Holley 650 is chugging like
its starving for more gas at higher rpm's. Anyone have experiences pro
or con they'd like to share. Any & all info & advice will be greatly
appreciated. This is how I learn stuff. There's so much knowledge on
this list. I just like to tap into it once in a while. Always saves
alot of time & $$ down the road. Thanks Everyone.
