I just had a windshield replaced in my '65. Cost $175 installed, from a local glass company. They even came to work and changed it! Call around, they can get you one. I don't know if this is a 'thick' one, but it is very nice, even has a new tint strip at the top. Our windshield was VERY common on GM vehicles for many years, so it is an easy replacement.
