Same thing happened to my Wife's 66 Elky just up & wouldn't start,
dim lights & all. The funny thing is it has a Delco battery with
the green light & it was green! Put my voltmeter on it & it read
13.2 volts (until I tried the starter) then it dropped to 4.3 volts.

New battery fixed it. I will never buy the Delco (green light) battery
again (they cost way more) I now I know the green lite don't mean S**T.
