Thanks Dan for the insightful news. Speaking of TX, I got my 12bolt from Red's (HUGE chevelle yard) near Troup, TX.
I finally got most of the grim off, and found the code .. CX0117B. I was close, it has the 3.07 gearing. Insides look good.
