Keep in mind that these guys don't have little elves in their basement
hammering out Vortec heads while the rest of the world sleeps. They buy them
from a supplier (wholesaler). Suppliers often say that they expect things
in, and then they don't come in. They even announce new products, and the
products never actually make it to the shelves, or they do one run and get
with some complaints, and they go back to re-tooling. This is not the
retailer's fault and there is really nothing he/she can do about it except
relay the latest information they have been given. Sometimes the latest
information from the supply chain is that there is no ETA. Should you buy
somewhere else? Only you can decide but you should probably at least see if
someone else has them in stock. You may find that every retailer has the
same answer, or you may find your parts. Do call and cancel the other order
though if you get them somewhere else. It can save lots of headaches for
everybody.

Hi
Is there anybody out there having good or bad experience with
gmpartsdepot?
I am trying to buy two new Vortec cylinder heads # 25534431.
A note on the webpage: Item is currently on backorder please call for
more info
When I call them, no-one (even if the guy was helpful) can tell when the
heads asr availible. not even an estimation.
To double-check I sent a mail, but the answer was about the same. To me
its a strange way of doing business and I am not sure di I dare to buy
anything from them? They have an alternative head availible.
Or should I buy heads somewhere else?

Br Hans
