Congrats on your purchase-  Best of luck with the
car..

When I was a kid, I had a '79 El Camino SS.  You can

I know alot of the guys here like the older versions
of the El, my personal favorite is the '59-  However,
it's still a nice car to have, and done right I'm sure
you'll really enjoy it.

The beauty of the car is, it most likely has the 305
or 350 in it, which once you've learned how to work on
one SBC, you basically get the jist of how to work on
them all (with suddle differences).  The gang here is
a definite wealth of knowledge to help you out with
your car.  These guys helped me get my '66 back
together at a time when I still had ALOT to learn
(actually, still do but....).  I'm forever in their
debt.
