A side note to your side note: Futura tires are made by Lee, a division of Goodyear. I ran a set of 70 series performance tires ( I forget what model ) on my '91 Caprice and got excellent service out of them. If memory serves, I put about 90 K on them with mostly highway driving. I'm running Futura Dakota LT truck tires on the '67 GMC with good service as well.   Rich ----- Original Message ----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: Chevelle-list@chevelles.net Sent: Tuesday, April 19, 2005 9:48 PM Subject: Re: [Chevelle-list] Tires Performance wise, BF Goodrich tires are good on dry pavement, put them in water, they suck.  I was never able to get any traction with them when I had them on my 86 Cutlass.  I've been running the Firestone Firehawk series on my 70 SS and am happy with them, they hook pretty well behind a healthy 454.  Also on a side note, I have the Pep Boys special, Futura GLS Super Sport on my 86 Cutlass now as well as my 69 and they seem to do pretty well.   Tom
