I've seen similar to this, although a lot beefier, in use on bobcats and mid-size wheel loaders on construction sites for the past year or so. They are a different brand than Michelin, but they seem to hold up really well so far. Impervious to nails and other common jobsite hazards. I don't know what I think about automotive applications, though. I like the way a tire looks on a good wheel to much to ever try such a thing, myself.
