I am 55. My first Chevelle was a 65 SS 327 4sp convert. What a car. It
was a warmed over 327 and really flew.

About 6 years ago, my son and I bought another chevelle, a 72. It was a
basket case and if I had it to do again would have started with something a
little better shape. We have learned a lot, have finally put the body back
on the frame and ready to drop the original 307 back in and then off to the
body shop.

I'm 42 and I originally bought my El Camino for my brother, because he said
he always dreamed of having one. Personally, the one I would have "dreamed"
about would have been a 69 convertible. However, the EC sat in my brother's
driveway for about 2 years until his wife got tired if looking at it, and I
always liked 69s. So, I bought it back from bro Joe (methinks I never fully
paid him for it), and put it back together. It is now very respectable and
in full service. I was just thinking the other day that I should have taken
pictures on days like when I was using it to haul lumber in rain and snow,
or the day I had a whole pallet plus a few boxes of Pergo flooring in the
back.
