Yep, when you have 15 red wires and the wiring diagrams suck a$$... Toning is the way to go. Quick, easy, and the newer multimeters are able to do it (at least the one I have). For me, toning is faster because I can just rake the probe over all the wires and it will buzz when it gets to the right one. Using the ohmmeter is the same concept though.
