there is a gas station in Harvard ill that still
does it, there is an older gentleman who does that, cleans your windshield and
takes the money. His father used to own the gas station and I think he does it
for something to do. I was surprised the first time he did it, but it makes me
think of the old days.

Everglades?
I do not think there
is anywhere in Illinois that you can get
anyone to pump your gas for you unless you can talk you wife or girlfriend
into it.

We do
have a sales tax. Usually around 6%. As to pumping my own gas, every time I
used to go to Portland
(Beaverton) on business, I
would get myself in trouble trying to pump my own gas!
Any
list members know of any old Chevy/Chevelle junk yards in central
Florida?

I suppose
you have to pump your own gas and have a sales tax ? No sales tax here
(income tax though) and we are one of the two states that you can't
pump your own gas.

The
ocean breeze keeps "all the gas" cleared out! No vehicle inspections and
no state income tax... we just need more sources for used Chevelle parts
down here.

get rid of all the gas :-X

In
my state (Oregon) we
have what is called DEQ (Department of Environmental Quality). If
you don't meet certain emission standards you can't get the car
licensed. Here that applies to any car newer than 1980. Some
states require emission standards plus vehicle
safety.
