Dale: in the first message i saw about this,i thought they said vin plate ,may be I did not read it right.anyway i have never seen a rivet for a vin plate for sale. but there is ALOT I don't know and don't pretend to know.Like I said it was illegal to have them when i was a cop in the last century . (grin)

I think you�re confusing Fisher Body plate (trim/firewall tag) rivets with VIN plate rivets. I don�t think states care about body tags one way or the other but VIN plates, that�s another story. In some states it�s illegal to even remove a VIN plate regardless of the reason and it�s illegal in some, if not all (?), states to have VIN rivets in your possession.
